Don't let your dog be a DOG!!!!

"He's sniffing and licking her privates and there's drool everywhere!" And off she and her little poodle mix went to a different section of the park.  This is what was said to me while at dog park.   Cody, my beautiful labrador, was greeting another dog while at the park in his usual dog manner.  He sniffed the dog as she rolled over onto her back.  He then licked her little private that she offered to  him.  I explained to the woman that this was typical dog behavior and her response was that she understood that it happened but she didn't want that for her dog.  As she walked away another dog owner, who overheard her, walked up and started laughing and asked, "Why bother coming here if  you don't want your dog to be around dogs who behave like dogs?"

So here's my question...Why do people go to dog park with their dogs when they don't want their dogs to behave like a dog or be around other dogs that behave like dogs???  I don't get it.
